What AI Christmas Dance does

AI Christmas Dance turns one photo into a short Christmas video. You pick a template, upload a photo and get a vertical 9:16 clip with holiday background music, ready for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts or a family group chat.

There are six templates:

  • Santa dance: you in a red Santa suit, dancing by the tree and the fireplace.
  • Elf dance: a pointy hat, striped stockings and a bouncy elf routine in a snowy workshop.
  • Ugly sweater party: the loudest sweater at the party, with moves to match.
  • Group holiday dance: everyone in a group photo breaks into a jingle-bell rock routine.
  • Pet in a Santa hat: your dog or cat dancing next to the presents.
  • Santa caught on camera: night-vision footage of Santa delivering gifts in your own living room.

How the videos are made

Videos are generated by Seedance 2.5, a video generation model from ByteDance. For the Santa, elf, sweater and pet templates, your photo is used as a character reference so the model can change the outfit and the scene. For the group dance and Santa cam templates, your photo is the first frame of the video, so the people and the room stay exactly as photographed.

Each video is 5 or 10 seconds long at 720p and usually takes a few minutes to render.

Who makes it

AI Christmas Dance is an independent project, launched in October 2026. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by JibJab, Elf Yourself, The Elf on the Shelf, TikTok or any other brand mentioned on this site.

The rules we follow

  • Your photo is only used to make your video. You can remove finished videos from My Creations at any time.
  • Consent comes first. Only upload photos of yourself, of people who agreed, or of children you are the parent or guardian of. Photos of public figures are not allowed. See the Terms of Service.
  • No copyrighted songs. Videos come with AI-generated holiday music. Add a trending song yourself when you post.
  • Fair billing. Credit packs are one-time purchases with no subscription. Credits for a failed video are refunded automatically. See the Refund Policy.
